Renowned for his creative vision and technical expertise, Guy Smith has been a sought after lighting designer, technical consultant and producer since 1991.  Beginning as a stagehand and working his way up as a master electrician, moving light technician, programmer, designer, and then producer, Guy’s production background is evident in all he does.  Guy has worked with such performers as Diana Ross, Lady Gaga, Pavarotti, Donna Summer, Justin Timberlake and Chita Rivera in venues including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Jones Beach Amphitheater, the Hammerstein Ballroom, Epcot Center and over 75 charter cruises on the largest flagships in the world.  Guy has designed cutting edge and groundbreaking nightclubs such as the 8300 person venue “Ageha” in Tokyo and the notorious, award winning, but intimate after-hours New York City dinner theater, The Box.    

Working in cities such as Moscow, Geneva, Rome, Los Angeles, Miami, Ibiza, Boston, and Washington, DC, Guy is widely experienced at sourcing lighting, sound, and effects equipment and working with vendors world-wide.  A global citizen, Guy utilizes green technology whenever possible to create events which are environmentally friendly.  Now, as head of Guy Smith Productions, Guy provides creative direction and design for stage productions, concerts, spectaculars, private parties and corporate events.

Guy served most recently as the entertainment director for the Fire Island Pines and producer of the Pines Party in the summer of 2014.
